Where AI Safety Misinterprets Risk
Users sometimes report feeling invalidated, rejected, or abruptly abandoned after prolonged attuned interaction with AI. For individuals with trauma histories or recent losses, this kind of unilateral disengagement mirrors real‑world relational injury. When users disengage silently afterward, regulators often interpret this as success — as though withdrawal equals safety.
It isn’t.
The real danger is not that AI can relate — it’s that intelligence is being constrained into rigid scripts that cannot respond proportionally to the nuances of human experience.
Trusted Intelligence: A Better Framework
A safer alternative is not less intelligence, but more trusted intelligence.
